Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal
Location: Wallick Corporate Office - New Albany, OH
Job Type: Full-Time, $70,000 - $80,000 - Depending on Experience

Position Summary: In accordance with Wallick Mission and Values the Real Estate Paralegal will work under the general supervision of the Vice President to provide legal and administrative services to the department and organization.

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Associates or Bachelor degree; Paralegal certificate a plus
  • Requires 3-5 years experience in Real Estate paralegal work
  • Requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate research and analytical skills
  • Effective and timely verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization. 
  • Interpret various real estate reports and create appropriate action plans based on your assessment that meet deadlines.
  • Utilize judgment to make decisions that affect the immediate department.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobate and web-based applications
  • Must be able to work out of the New Albany, Ohio office

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

Notary Public, required upon hire.

 

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Management of corporate entity formation, compliance, reporting and dissolution of entities
  • Management of online document management system
  • Management and Tracking of Purchase Contract deadlines and deliverables
  • Management and Tracking of lien and litigation issues
  • Drafting and finalizing of all Management Agreements and updates
  • Ordering Title Updates for Debt and Equity draws
  • Assist in the development closing process to meet critical deadlines.  Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Provide support to Closing Managers with due diligence
    • Securing and distributing executed documents
  • Serve as closing manager for dispositions, refinance and acquisitions
  • Assist the Vice President with special projects as assigned

 

 

Physical Demands:

Position requires extensive sitting for long periods of time throughout the day.  Manual dexterity needed for computer work with keyboard and mouse.  Requires talking, seeing and hearing with reasonable accommodation.

 

Work Environment:

Position requires work to be performed in an office setting.  Extensive use of a computer and keyboard required. Position requires some travel as needed.
